GENERAL SECURITY INFORMATION

OVERVIEW

The MART Security Operations Center is located on the first floor, Suite 133A, and provides 24-hour, seven-day-a-week coverage of the interior and exterior of THE MART. After business hours, a secondary Security Command Post is located in the South Lobby and is staffed to serve the same purpose.

Our Security team works closely with the Chicago Police and Fire Departments to ensure rapid and reliable response throughout the building. All security personnel carry two-way communication devices to facilitate communication and quick response.

BUILDING ACCESS

It is our pleasure to offer our tenants and their guests around-the-clock operation, with access to the building and security at all times.

However, after business hours, Sundays, and on Building Holidays, the number of entrances to the building is restricted to the South Lobby entrance, and Security sign-in procedures are in effect.

Open hours are:

  • South Lobby Entrance (center revolving door) - 24/7
  • All Other Entrances - Monday-Saturday 6 AM to 6 PM
  • CTA - Monday-Friday 6 AM to 10 PM / Saturday 6 AM to 6 PM / Sunday & Building Holidays 6 AM to 2 PM
  • Pedway - Monday-Friday 6 AM to 10 PM / Saturday 6 AM to 6 PM

TENANT SECURITY PRACTICES

It is each tenant’s responsibility to ensure their space is secured when not open for business.

The MART Security team is happy to assist with locking or unlocking your suite when scheduled in advance. A fee equal to half an hour of the current straight time or overtime rate will apply, as appropriate.

Additionally, tenants may arrange customized services with THE MART’s Security Department, including in-suite security, VIP guest support, after-hours dock access, after-hours events, and more.

KEY AND LOCK PROCEDURES

Existing tenants can submit lock change and/or additional key copy requests to Security, provided their Tenant Database Contact form is up to date. Charges will apply and invoices will be issued through the Service Portal.

New tenants will coordinate with Tenant Relations and/or Property Management to complete a Tenant Database Contact form and arrange key pickup once the premises have been officially turned over.
