Smoking

To protect and enhance our indoor air quality and contribute to the health and well-being of all employees, staff, and visitors, THE MART maintains a no smoking policy for all interior and exterior areas. Pursuant of The Smoke Free Illinois Act (410 ILCS 82; Public Act 095-0017 smoking is prohibited in places of employment. This pertains to all areas within the building including but not limited to office space, bathrooms, elevators, public corridors, lobbies and fire stairs. This policy applies to the use of all smoking products, including vapor-based electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), and all property within THE MART’s ownership including transitional areas such as parks, driveways, perimeter sidewalks, loading docks and parking garages.

Effective June 1, 2018 THE MART became a smoke-free campus. Smoking is prohibited on MART property, and smokers need to proceed to an off-campus location.

No Smoking signs are clearly posted at all building entrances.

Additionally, smoking is prohibited within 25 feet of building entrances regardless of property line.
