Dock Operations

Materials Management

THE MART Loading Dock is open Monday through Saturday, and closed on Sundays and holidays.  During shows and special events, dock hours may vary. Please contact the Dock Office or Service Desk with any questions or scheduling needs.

Dock Access Hours

4:00am – 8:00pm – Monday-Friday
6:00am – 2:30pm – Saturday

Dock assistance is available between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday. 
Please call the Dock Office to schedule deliveries and request assistance if needed.

Labor Assistance Hours

8:00am – 4:30pm Monday-Friday

Please call Dock Office or Service Department to inquire about available services and to schedule labor in advance. Overtime service is available at an addtitional charge, with advanced scheduling. 

Freight Elevator Hours

6:00am – 1:30am Monday-Friday
7:00am – 3:00pm Saturday

The building is served by five manual freight elevators that can be reserved by contacting the Dock Office or Service Department.

Location

  • From I-94/I90, exit on Ohio Street.
  • At the first light, turn right onto Orleans.
  • Turn right onto Hubbard Street.
  • Turn left onto Kingsbury Street.
  • Turn left onto Kinzie Street.
  • At the stop sign, turn right to the dock.

Flatbed Use

You may check up to (4) flatbeds from the dock, with proper I.D. Flatbeds, must be returned that same day.

Removal Pass

You must have a stamped removal pass in order to remove merchandise from the building; removal passes can be obtained in the Security Office located on the first floor.

Trade Shows

Please note that during trade shows, dock availability may be limited to accomodate tenants participating in the show as well as exhibitors. Please refer to our websites' (themart.com) event calendar for annual trade show dates when planning deliveries and pickups. Tradeshow move in/move outs occur days before and after a show.  Pick-ups or deliveries which require the use of a cart are restricted from show floors during show hours. The loading dock has ten berths that can accommodate semi trucks and allow for a two hour unloading time. We also have over thirty berths for box/straight or POV's (personally owned vehicles) and allow for a 30 minute unloading time. Unloading on the North or South Drive is strictly prohibited.
